Connacht full-back Mils Muliaina has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault according to Gloucestershire police.

The former All Blacks star was caught by TV cameras being escorted away from Kingsholm by police officers after his side's Challenge Cup defeat to Gloucester.

"A man in his 30s was arrested at Kingsholm Stadium tonight (Friday, April 3) on suspicion of sexual assault in relation to an incident in Cardiff in March. It is a matter being dealt with my South Wales Police," said a Gloucestershire police spokesperson.

Connacht played Cardiff Blues in the Welsh capital on March 6.

Connacht have confirmed that Muliaina "is currently assisting the South Wales Police with enquiries relating to an alleged incident in Cardiff in March of this year."
