Gloucester number eight Ben Morgan wants to win back over the supporters by ending a five-game losing streak against Exeter on Friday.
The Cherry and Whites were dumped out of the Challenge Cup at Kingsholm by Newport Gwent Dragons last Saturday to the dismay of their fans, as Gloucester missed out on defending their title.
Gloucester haven't won since defeating Wasps at home back on March 5.
Morgan knows that losing run has been tough on Gloucester's supporters, but hopes those true to the club will give them their backing against Exeter and beyond.
"It is this moment in time when you find out who, of those fans, are there to stick behind you and those fans who are quick to turn," Morgan told the Gloucester Citizen.
"I think it is important to remember that we, as a team, are fans as well. We win together and lose together.
"They may be disappointed that we are not doing so well but it hurts us so much more. I would say it is a case of 'get back behind us' (because) we are very capable of putting a good performance in.
"It comes down to us as a group here. It has obviously been a bit of a tough time with a few losses on the bounce but it is really about us pulling together now.
"There are still a lot of things to play for this season so it is up to us to pull together and put a performance in that we know we are capable of.
"The performance comes before the results and, over the past few games, we haven't put in the performances that we are proud of.
"Obviously things become more scrutinised when you start to lose on the bounce but, if we pull together, you can forget about those little things you pick apart.
"Ultimately, we are a team that has done well this season and have beaten some great teams, so we have the capability of doing it."
