More to come from Veainu

during the European Rugby Champions Cup quarter final match between Leicester Tigers and Stade Francais at Welford Road on April 10, 2016 in Leicester, England.

Telusa Veainu feels he still has plenty of room for improvement as he looks forward to Leicester’s Champions Cup semi-final against Racing 92.

Veainu, who starred for Tonga in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, is set to start for the Tigers in this Sunday’s showdown with the French outfit.

He has impressed for Leicester since arriving at the club late last year but he’s refusing to get ahead of himself and knows he can improve.

“Since I got here things have been going pretty well. I’m enjoying my rugby and being here has given me a spark. There is always room for improvement. I have been working hard on my kicking and spatial awareness,” he told EPC Rugby.

This weekend the Tigers will go up against the likes of Dan Carter but Veainu feels his side’s own experience has been evident in the lead-up to the game at the City Ground.

“I look around and I’m really fortunate to be here at this club with the players that I have around me. I’m really looking forward to the weekend. Richard Cockerill and Aaron Mauger have kept it just a normal week for us. We have been doing what we did last week with our recovery and getting ready for Sunday’s game,” he said.
