Harlequins full-back Mike Brown insists they still have much more to offer after they claimed a 53-17 bonus point win over Newcastle Falcons at the Stoop on Saturday.
The two time Six Nations winner put in a magnificent performance on his return from international duty in both setting up tries, and getting over the whitewash himself.
“There was a great attitude from everyone in the squad today, we really played a good brand of rugby; of course, it helps when the sun is shining,” said Brown.
“We are delighted to have put in such a great performance.
“In parts it’s been quite a frustrating season. We have perhaps struggled to get the mindset right, but we had an excellent week of preparation.
“We as internationals have integrated well back into the squad, we need to build on this and keep it up week on week, that will give us the consistency and give us the ability to finish top six as a minimum. We haven’t played top tier Europe in three years, so we must keep working hard, that is the immediate goal.
“Conceding an early try was tough, but we responded really well, that was probably a bit of nerves at the beginning and a lot of returnees. We were by far the completed project, we probably left a couple of scores out there, but there is still more to come from us and that is exciting.
“We have some massive games coming up, we need to get our game right in preparation for Saracens at Wembley in two weeks’ time. The boys enjoy playing in that sort of arena and we want to do that occasion justice.”
