The Brumbies have been boosted by the news that front row forwards Stephen Moore and Scott Sio will return against the Reds in Brisbane on Friday.
Veteran hooker Moore missed last weekend's win over the Blues with a knee injury and loosehead prop Sio has been sidelined for three weeks with an ankle complaint.
The Reds, who beat the Brumbies in their season opener in Canberra earlier this year, are determined to return to the victory trail after suffering a 32-29 defeat to the Western Force in Brisbane last weekend.
“They're clearly pretty desperate after their loss, they've said openly their season is on the line,” Moore told AAP.
“So it's going to take nothing less than our best to win.”
Sio's premature return will improve the Brumbies' scrum, but also gives him a chance to measure himself against Wallabies rival James Slipper.
“I guess there's always that there,” Sio, 22, said.
“But at the end of the day I'm coming here to do my best for the Brumbies.
“If I cross paths with him on the field, then I do, but by no means will I be looking for him out there.”
