Montpellier will be without prop Nicolas Mas, who has suffered a pulled muscle, when they host Castres on Friday.

The 34-year-old French international, who played the first three matches of the season against Racing-Metro, Grenoble and Clermont, will be replaced by Kiwi prop Chris King.

Mas's injury and the absence for up to four months of David Attoub with a ruptured bicep leaves Montpellier with just one prop in King who arrived mid-August.

The club, currently fourth in the Top 14, level on nine points with leaders Toulon, Toulouse and Clermont, are looking at the possibility of medical cover and could turn to young Argentinian prop Emiliano Coria.
