Montpellier too good for Toulouse

Montpellier moved back up to third in the Top 14 standings after they battled past Toulouse 27-18 at Altrad Stadium on Sunday.

A first-half try from second-row Paul Willemse and the boot of early substitute Willie du Plessis saw Montpol go into the break 13-3 up.

Both sides then traded early tries in the opening stages of the second period as first wing Timoci Nagusa crossed for the hosts before Toulouse prop Census Johnston responded to cut Montpellier's lead to seven points.

Montpellier then scored through centre Yvan Reilhac on 64 minutes before Alexis Palisson went over for Toulouse four minutes later, but the visitors couldn't add to their tally and left the clash with no points to their name.
