Montpellier going all out for victory

Montpellier coach Jake White has set his team a goal of beating Champions Cup finalists Racing 92 in Paris on Sunday which will ensure an easier draw in the play-offs.

The Challenge Cup winners are in a three-horse race to join Cleremont in a top-two finish and ensure a bye into the semi-finals.

Montpellier are four points adrift of both Racing 92 and Toulon which means that their only option is to go all out for victory on Sunday in order to climb up the table.

White told the AFP that preparations for this season started a long time ago and all the planning has been put in place in order to ensure that the team finishes off their campaign on a strong note.

"We started preparing for this season 11 months ago, so in any case, everyone's tired. It's tough for all the teams," said White.

"We have an opportunity, it would be crazy to not try to take it.”
