Demetri Catrakilis kicked 17 points as Montpellier beat Bordeaux-Bègles 32-15 in their Top14 clash on Sunday.

It was Montpellier's first win of the season after three games and the fact that it came away from home will give them confidence as they look to bounce back from a slow start.

Bordeaux took an early 6-0 lead through a drop goal and penalty by Ian Madigan before Jesse Mogg got Jake White's men on the scoreboard with a try. Catrakilis added the conversion and a penalty to give his side a 10-6 lead.

Frans Steyn received a yellow card in the 22nd minute with his side leading 13-9, but luckily for him the visitors only conceded three points during his absence while adding three of their own.

Montpelleir kept their lead throughout the second half, thanks to two penalties by Catrakilis and a penalty and conversion by Steyn after Alexandre Dumoulin scored.
