Toulouse boss Ugo Mola has discussed the impact that number eight Louis Picamoles' departure will have on the club this season.
Picamoles has joined Premiership side Northampton Saints after seven years with Toulouse.
Asked by Rugbyrama if Gillian Galan, the Toulouse back-row, was the natural replacement for Picamoles this season, Mola stressed that filling the number eight role was no easy task.
"For me, Louis is one of those players who are irreplaceable. There are not many like him. Few players in the world are capable of doing what he does," Mola said.
"Gilian is not there to be Picamoles. If he is able to play as he did at the end of last season I'm not worried about the number eight of Toulouse.
"It's a bit role but it's up to him to prove he can handle it, knowing we have four numbers eights in our squad."
Reflecting on the end of last season, when Toulouse were knocked out in the quarter-finals by eventual champions Racing 92, Mola added that the disappointment amongst the camp was beginning to lift.
"The disappointment is still quite large, even when you lose against the eventual champion," Mola added.
"I especially want to congratulate the two Racing coaches who have managed to win the title in two places (previously with Castres in 2013) and in two very different situations."
