Golden Lions centre Howard Mnisi will miss the Currie Cup semi-finals and final, should they make it, after suffering a knee injury.

The midfielder and senior player for the men from Johannesburg will be out for four to six weeks after sustaining a grade two injury to his left knee.

Loosehead prop Dylan Smith will be sidelined until Super Rugby after a shoulder injury and will undergo surgery on Wednesday.

The Lions play the Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on October 15.
