Leinster have released a medical update on several players, with good news surrounding fly-half Jonathan Sexton who should play against Glasgow this week.

Sexton sustained a knock during the team's 8-3 win over Ulster last week, but the bulletin offered positive news on the Ireland international.

"Johnny took a bang to the back and was only suffering from some stiffness after the game. He is available for selection this weekend," it read.

Richardt Strauss is also able to feature after the hooker passed the Return to Play Protocols while full-back Rob Kearney trained on Monday and could also play against Glasgow.

There was less positive news regarding scrum-half Luke McGrath, who has a medial strain and will be out of the game this weekend. However, he is expected to be back in contention for the visit to Toulon the following week.

Meanwhile, centre Noel Reid hasn't broken any bone in his ankle but there is ligament damage. He is waiting for the results of a further scan before seeing a specialist later this week to decide on the best course of action.
