Toulon winger Drew Mitchell has confirmed that he has signed a contract extension with the club until at least 2017.

Toulon winger Drew Mitchell has confirmed that he has signed a contract extension with the club until at least 2017.

The former Wallaby joined Toulon in 2013 and has adapted well to life in France, winning the Top 14 and Heineken Cup in his first season.

Securing his long-term future, the 30-year-old confirmed the news on Twitter.

“Happy to say I agreed to terms with the boss and Toulon to stay [for] at least 2 more years!” said Mitchell accompanied with a photo of himself and owner Mourad Boudjellal.

Mitchell spent time in Super Rugby with the Reds, Force and Waratahs before heading for Europe. He was on 63 caps for Australia, scoring 30 Test tries.
