Italy have brought in Francesco Minto to their Six Nations squad for their opening two matches after Marco Fuser was ruled out through injury.

He is in contention to face Wales and France.

Minto, 26 and capped seven times, replaces his Treviso club-mate, who is likely to be out for six weeks with a twisted left knee he suffered in Saturday's Heineken Cup defeat at Montpellier.

Italy, who beat Ireland and France in last season's Six Nations, begin their campaign against Wales in Cardiff on February 1 and then play the French.
