Despite botching a sure try against Argentina on Sunday, Nehe Milner-Skudder's biggest fan is his teammate Sonny Bill Williams.
Williams injected some much needed go forward against a rampant Los Pumas side during the All Blacks 26-16 win at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
Following a half-break just outside the try line, the centre popped up one of his signature offloads for Milner-Skudder, who surprisingly fumbled the ball over the line.
But Williams, who is the winger's roommate for the duration of the World Cup, indicated that he better not criticise Milner-Skudder for the stone-cold drop as he has already given him a hard time about his haircut.
"He's my roomie, so he might have to fix up the room bill, won't he," quipped the former Rugby League star.
"I was telling the boys out there that I've been giving crap all week about this bad haircut that he got, so I better lay off him.
"But like I said earlier to the boys in there, Nehe played outstandingly and it's awesome to see as he was at the Dogs [Bulldogs National Rugby League club] as well… he's an ex-leaguie.
“I said before that coming from Super Rugby, the Super Rugby tournament, he was my favourite player to watch and things haven't changed.
"It's awesome to see him do his thing out there, and a couple of passes probably didn't stick for us as a whole but it's something that we can work on."
Thankfully for Milner-Skudder, the mistake did not prove costly as the defending champions would close out the game with flair in the final 15 minutes.
