Former Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer has been linked with the Bristol head coaching role according to the Telegraph.
The position became open after Andy Robinson was suspended. Bristol has had a poor start to the season after losing nine games in a row which led to Robinson's suspension.
Meyer tops the shortlist to replace Robinson that also includes former Sharks director of rugby Gary Gold. Meyer has previous experience of coaching in the Premiership after a stint with Leicester Tigers in 2008.
