Italian duo Luke McLean and Alberto de Marchi will both leave Sale Sharks now the regular season has concluded.
McLean, 27, and De Marchi, 29, are both set to return to Italy to continue their club careers after the Rugby World Cup.
A combination of the players' absence at the start of the next season due to the World Cup and the emergence of young talent in their respective positions of full-back and prop at Sale, have meant that both will be moving on after just one year.
“Luke and Alberto are away with Italy for months ahead of the World Cup and they feel that their careers can be better served in Italy,” Diamond told the Manchester Evening News.
“So it was a mutual agreement for them to leave us and move and there are no hard feelings either way.”
