England and Gloucester winger Jonny May has been cleared to play in Saturday's Calcutta Cup clash against Scotland.

Following a scan review on Monday and a specialist assessment, which confirmed an undisplaced fracture of his nose, he will be available for selection.

May was forced off the field in the opening minutes of last weekend's 26-24 loss to France in Paris, unsettling England's backline early on.

His lack of pace out wide was sorely missed despite Mike Brown ably filling in out wide.

Bath winger Anthony Watson and Saracens winger Chris Ashton are both in contention, along with May and Exeter's Jack Nowell, to start at Murrayfield.
