Scotland wing Sean Maitland has been ruled out of Saturday's Calcutta Cup clash with England because of two injuries suffered against Ireland.
The 25-year-old Glasgow Warriors winger departed injured during the first-half of their Six Nations opening fixture in Dublin on Sunday.
“Sean suffered a concussion as well as injury to his right leg yesterday. He will be subject to further investigation today at Spire Murrayfield hospital and will be assessed later by consultant surgeon Graham Lawson,” Scottish Rugby's Head of Performance Medical, Paul McGinley said.
“We also have a number of injuries at this juncture which will impact on availability to train at the start of this week but we are optimistic that players will recover in time for the England game.”
