Sale fly-half AJ MacGinty is keen to put their recent defeats behind them when they run out to face Saracens at Allianz Park on Saturday.
The Sharks have lost their last four games in all competitions and return to Champions Cup rugby with two tough clashes with the holders.
And with such strong opposition against them, the USA international playmaker knows they must be at their best if they are to get the win.
“We have had three very tough games, playing against some of the best sides in the Premiership,” the fly-half told Sale Sharks‘ website.
“We have played well, but we’ve coughed up cheap points. We have had opportunities and we just didn’t take them. That needs to change.”
He added: “Saracens are extremely efficient and well organised, and they know exactly what they want to do.
“When we get the ball off them, we need to know what we’re doing. We need to adopt a good position and be quick to take opportunities when they arise.
“It’s all about chemistry and getting the whole team to gel,” MacGinty continued.
“We need to be sharper, and know what we want in each area of the pitch. You’re only as good as your next game, and whatever has gone before is out the window.”
