Fresh from signing a new three-year deal to stay with his local region, Ospreys flanker Justin Tipuric is a happy man.
Tipuric rejected an offer from Toulouse to remain in Wales, but not on one of the WRU dual contracts.
The 25-year-old Wales flanker is pleased with how the region are progressing this season, with the Ospreys currently top of the Pro12.
“It was quite a tough decision for me to go anywhere else being a local boy and a fan,” Tipuric told the BBC.
“It’s a good place to be at the minute and the future they talk about and where we’re going looks really bright.
“There was quite strong interest, but I made the decision to stay with the Ospreys.
“It was quite flattering with the teams that show interest in you, but it would have been a big decision for me and my family to move away.
“You get offers, but at the end of the day the Ospreys were the ones who were really keen to sign me and there was no talk of [Welsh Rugby Union] dual-contracts or anything.”
