The Golden Lions have announced the signing of Western Province prop Sithembiso Sithole for the 2017 season.

The young front-ranker spent most of 2016 on loan with the Southern Kings but will now head to Johannesburg with a fresh batch of new signings joining the Lions. Sithole is joined by Bulls second-row Marvin Orie who announced his move across the Jukskei River in July this year.

The Lions have also announced several players leaving the club including former Springbok fly-half Marnitz Boshoff and lock Luvuyiso Lusaseni.

The Golden Lions Rugby Union said they appreciate the impact of the players leaving and welcome their new recruits.

In the same vein we welcome all the newcomers in our fold and we hope that you will prosper under our banner," said Rudolf Straeuli, CEO of the Golden Lions Rugby Union.
