The Lions have announced that Andries Coetzee, Ruan Combrinck, Howard Mnisi and MB Lusaseni have agreed new contracts at the in-form franchise.

The full-back, wing, centre and second-row extend their stays, leaving Bart Schoeman, Manager of the GLRU High Performance Department, delighted.

"With both junior and senior players extending contracts it shows the Union supports young players and aims to develop them into the future Lions stalwarts," he told the Lions website, with Malcolm Marx, Kwagga Smith, Jaco van der Walt, Lourens Erasmus and Bobby de Wee also having re-signed.

"Secondly, by securing our senior stars, we are demonstrating our belief and confidence in the players we have and back them in taking the Union to the next level of competitiveness."
