Blues winger Tevita Li is set to further his career with the Highlanders for the 2017 Super Rugby season.

The 21-year-old has shown plenty of promise since making his Super Rugby debut for the Blues in 2014 and is the men from Auckland’s first-choice left wing having scored four tries already this season.

The Highlanders announced the news of Li’s recruitment on Twitter.

Li, who represented New Zealand at U20 level in 2014 and 2015, isn’t the first Blues player heading to the Highlanders in recent years. He will follow in the footsteps of  Waisake Naholo and Malakai Fekitoa who both became All Blacks after moving down south.
