Flanker James Lentjes will makes his Super Rugby debut for the Highlanders when they face the Stormers in Dunedin on Saturday.
Lentjes will be the fifth player to wear the number seven jersey for the Highlanders this season, with first choice number sevens Shane Christie (hamstring) and John Hardie (ankle), sidelined by injury. Elliot Dixon and Dan Pryor have also turned out in the position this term.
The arrival of Lentjes sees Dixon switch to six, while Pryor drops to the bench.
In the only other change to the starting XV, Ash Dixon takes over from Liam Coltman at hooker, with Coltman forced to make do with a spot among the replacements.
In addition to Christie and Hardie, Richard Buckman (knee), Kane Hames (suspended) and Ross Geldenhuys (thumb) were not considered due to injury.
The Highlanders will be looking for their fourth win of the season when they welcome the Stormers to Dunedin, while the South African outfit will be in search of win number five.
