Leinster have been handed a boost with the return of a number of long-term absentees ahead of this weekend’s Pro12 clash with Treviso.

Dave Kearney, Shane Jennings, Jordi Murphy and Fergus McFadden are all in contention to feature having spent time on the sidelines.

Also involved at training were Martin Moore and Ben Te’o, although both are still a little way from being match fit.

Leinster are currently fifth in the Pro12, just two points outside the play-off spots thanks to back-to-back wins over Zebre and Edinburgh.

And centre Noel Reid knows it’s a huge game for some of the younger members of the squad, with a number of internationals away with Ireland.

“These periods every year are pretty big for the lads who aren’t in the international squads and the younger guys coming through,” he said.

“If you play well in these games, there’s Champions Cup games coming up so you can hopefully put your hand up and give Matt (O’Connor) a bit of a headache.

“I was looking forward to getting a bit of a partnership going with Ben (Te’o). He’s a big man, he carries pretty well and he’s got good skills.

“It would have suited my game playing off him, he could have created a bit of space for me. I’m just concentrating on my own game for now though.”
