Wales tighthead prop Samson Lee is set to return to action for the Scarlets this weekend in the Champions Cup.
Lee was given some time off following the Rugby World Cup to improve his fitness, meaning he missed the Round 1 defeat away to Northampton Saints.
Having made strides in training for the Welsh region, head coach Wayne Pivac has decided to bring the Wales international back into contention for this weekend's game with Racing 92.
"Samson Lee will make a return to the 23," Pivac told the EPC Rugby website.
"He has had a good three weeks off, fitness wise his leg strength has improved so he is in a good space.
"He has gone away and done what we had asked of him and he is in the frame for this weekend."
Pivac also expects hooker Ken Owens to return to action this weekend, telling Wales Online: "As for Ken, he has a foot injury and he hasn't quite been himself since returning (from the World Cup). We have scanned that so we know what the issue is and as a result he was left out last weekend.
"He is back this week, but he will get another rest in the near future, which was planned as a result of the Rugby World Cup workload."
