The Cheetahs have been handed a boost with the news that Springbok full-back Willie le Roux has penned a new two-year deal in Bloemfontein.
According to Volskblad, the in-form 23-year-old has agreed to an extension despite Japanese and French clubs reportedly being interested.
“Willie has extended his contract as the Cheetahs for a further two years. He is an important player for us on attack and it's great news that he decided to sign with us,” head coach Naka Drotské told the South African publication.
Le Roux has scored six tries this Super Rugby campaign and was recently rewarded for his ongoing strong form with his Springbok debut.
