Larkham laments ‘timid’ Brumbies

It's last chance saloon for the Brumbies when they play the Force in Canberra on Saturday.

After the Brumbies' 40-15 defeat to the Blues last weekend, they have to win this game with a bonus point to secure the Australian conference winner quarter-final place if the Waratahs are able to beat the Blues in Auckland.

Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham rued his side's unassertive attitude that they displayed against the Blues last weekend.

"The mind set for us is to just turn it around from last week. We were a little bit passive and timid," Larkham told the Canberra Times.

"We were waiting to see what the opposition would throw at us, this week we just want to be a little bit more on the front foot.

"We reviewed things a little bit differently this week, the players took control of it and had a good look at themselves.

"I think they were very honest and presented to everyone in a team meeting."
