The only change sees Jacques van Rooyen return to the side to provide cover off the bench.

The Lions are gunning for their second title in four years, taking on Western Province at Newlands on Saturday.

There are two Springboks in the starting XV in fly-half Marnitz Boshoff along with number eight and captain, Warren Whiteley.

Top try scorer Jaco Kriel is passed fit to start at openside flanker.
