Kriel back as Lions change seven

Date published: September 10 2015

Jaco Kriel returns to lead the Golden Lions as they take on the Blue Bulls in their Currie Cup clash at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

With Kriel back in the back row, Kwagga Smith drops to the bench while Franco Mostert also returns in the place of MB Lusaseni.

There is also a new half-back pairing for the Lions with Ross Cronjé and his Springbok half-back partner Marnitz Boshoff linking up after missing the win over the EP Kings last time out.

Cronjé replaces Lohan Jacobs while Boshoff runs out in the place of Jaco van der Walt, who moves to the bench.

In other changes Robbie Coetzee returns to the fray at hooker in a rotational move instead of Malcolm Marx and Ruan Dreyer is at tighthead.

Courtnall Skosan comes in for the injured Anthony Volmink at wing in the only other change to the starting line-up.
