Outstanding Pumas tighthead prop Vincent Koch will return to the Stormers for Super Rugby in 2016, it has been confirmed.
The 25-year-old, who has been called up to the Springbok training squad ahead of the Rugby Championship, was loaned to the Cape Town side for Super Rugby this year but will be back in Pumas colours for the Currie Cup in 2015 (if he isn't picked for the World Cup) and 2016.
"Our viewpoint is that we give players opportunities to improve. Therefore, we made Vincent available to the Stormers and Renaldo Bothma and Giant Mtyanda to the Sharks," Pumas president Hein Mentz told Sport24 in May.
"Vincent was loaned to the Stormers because the Lions, our franchise partner, didn't regard him as good enough."
Koch has however confirmed that he will head back to the Stormers next season to complete his two-year deal with the South African conference winners.
The Pumas have ruled out the possibility of Western Province buying the prop out of his contract in Nelspruit.
"Money can’t buy everything. We have a long-term vision here. If you make short-term decisions, it could cost you in the long run," added Mentz.
