Ulster wing Tommy Bowe is likely to be ruled out for a substantial period after it was confirmed he will have surgery on his knee this Monday.
The Ireland international finisher, who sustained the injury against Argentina in the quarter-final loss, is not expected back in the short-term.
"When the surgeon has a look we should have a better picture of how long he is likely to be out for," Ulster coach Neil Doak told BBC Sport.
"But we don't think it will be weeks.
"It's unfortunate for Tommy but we wish him a speedy recovery and want him back out on the pitch as quickly as possible."
Ulster are currently in fourth position in the PRO12 after five games and kick-off their Champions Cup campaign away to Oyonnax on November 14.
