Ulster winger Andrew Trimble believes the influences of departing coach Les Kiss has been evident in their games so far.

Kiss has worked with the province on a temporary basis while the search for a replacement for Mark Anscombe was carried out.

According to reports, Ulster are expected to confirm their new coaching setup over the next fortnight.

Kiss will resume his full-time duties as Ireland assistant coach ahead of the November Tests.

Trimble, who has played for Ulster since 2005, believes that although Kiss's time with Ulster has been brief there will be many long-term benefits.

“He has given us a lot of discipline,” said Trimble.

“We have worked hard to make sure we keep going and do the small things right and make sure we think about what we are doing, thinking through our game.

“We are never short of passion on the pitch, but sometimes tactically we have to have that edge.”
