Kirchner out for a month

Zane Kirchner will be out of action for a month after a fracture to his shin while in action for Leinster last weekend.

The South African full-back was initially believed to have suffered only bruising in the win over Ulster on January 3rd, but it has now been revealed to be more serious.

That means Kirchner will be sidelined for four weeks, ruling him out of Leinster’s remaining Champions Cup games.

Matt O’Connor’s side host Castres this weekend before a crucial trip to Wasps in round six as they chase a spot in the last eight.
