The Free State Cheetahs have announced the signing of Southern Kings winger Makazole Mapimpi.
Mapimpi will join the men from Bloemfontein after the current Super Rugby campaign and will be available for the Cheetahs' defence of the Currie Cup.
The 26-year-old was a member of the Border U19 team that played in South Africa's U19 Provincial Championship in 2009.
Mapimpi made is Vodacom Cup debut for Border in 2014 against the Sharks XV and was a star performer in their final match of the 2015 season against Boland Cavaliers, when he scored a hat-trick of tries and took over the kicking duties and slotted three conversions and a penalty in the absence of the regular kicker.
He made his Currie Cup debut for Border against the Griquas in 2014 and played his first Super Rugby match for the Kings earlier this year.
