Kings change four for Chiefs

Date published: March 9 2016

Southern Kings boss Deon Davids has made four changes to his starting line-up that will face the Chiefs in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

Schalk Feirreira is the only survivor in the front row from their 43-8 Round One thumping against the Sharks.

Prop Jacobie Adriaanse has recovered from concussion and is joined in the front row by Edgar Marutlulle in place of Tom Botha and Martin Ferreira respectively.

Captain Steven Sykes will once again pair up with fellow lock JC Astle and the back row combination of Jacques Engelbrecht, Thembelani Bholi and Chris Cloete also remain unchanged.

Fly-half Elgar Watts makes way for former Bulls pivot Louis Fouché in the starting line-up and Stefan Watermeyer gets his first start of the season in place of JP du Plessis.

On the bench, Martin Bezuidenhout replaces Martin Ferreira while Kevin Luiters comes in for Leighton Eksteen – both these players are set to make their Super Rugby debut. Charles Radebe also misses out and makes room for Jaco van Tonder.
