Kerevi wants Wallabies call up

Reds centre Samu Kerevi made his comeback from injury in his team's 35-25 victory over the Sunwolves, putting him in contention for a Wallabies call up.

Kerevi told The Roar that he was happy to be back on the playing field and was delighted to contribute to the win.

“I was happy to contribute to the team," said Kerevi.

“It’s been two weeks but I was real comfortable out there."

Kerevi added that he was not completely satisfied with his performance and there are parts of his game that he still needs to work on.

“There’s parts where I tried to push the pass when I should have just held on. I think I was just itchy to get out there,” said Kerevi.

“Im just going to enjoy tonight’s win with the boys.

“Whatever comes will come. Right now I’m just happy we got the win.

“These next couple weeks, I’ll work hard and see whatever’s coming.”

The Wallabies will assemble at the Sunshine Coast in nine days and coach Michael Cheika will definitely have the Reds playmaker on his agenda when the squad is named next week.
