Munster wing Keith Earls is set to be sidelined for six weeks due to the knee injury he sustained in Ireland's clash with England last week.

It was initially feared that Earls' season was over after he hobbled off the field late in the second half at Twickenham but Munster confirmed that the 30-year-old's injury was not too serious.

"It has been confirmed that the winger, who sustained knee ligament damage in Twickenham last Saturday, will not be available for approximately six weeks, ruling him out of the Champions Cup quarter final against Toulon on March 31," the Irish province said via a press statement on their official website.

Munster also revealed that Peter O’Mahony, CJ Stander and Conor Murray, who were part of Ireland's Grand Slamming winning contingent with Earls, will all be returning to the province next week ahead of that clash with Toulon at Thomond Park.
