Leinster full-back Rob Kearney has been ruled out of the province's PRO12 fixture with Edinburgh at Murrayfield due to a knee injury.

Kearney, who scored a try in the first-half of the game against Glasgow last Saturday, suffered the injury and came off after 59 minutes.

Scrum coach John Fogarty confirmed he'd miss the match after he had a scan on Monday, with the full extent of his injury not yet known.

In other injury news, Leinster issued an update saying: "Fergus McFadden travelled to Glasgow with the team but was withdrawn from the game as a precautionary measure having injured his quad in the Captain's Run the day before. He took a limited part in today's training and will be assessed further later in the week.

"In better news both Dave Kearney and Mick Kearney came through their first games back from injury and Isa Nacewa came through a full week of training last week and will be assessed further over the next few days."
