Joseph set for three-month injury lay-off

Bath have confirmed that centre Jonathan Joseph underwent surgery earlier this week for a pectoral injury sustained during England's Rugby World Cup campaign.

According to a press release on Bath's official website, Joseph, who made 16 international appearances for England, will be out of action for approximately three months.

The news is another blow for the World Cup hosts as they try to move on from a disastrous campaign.

Joseph missed England's loss to Wales in the group stages but returned against Australia, before being used as a replacement against Uruguay.
