Joseph confident ahead of Pumas clash

Japan head coach Jamie Joseph is confident his side can put in a good showing against Argentina on Saturday.

It will be Joseph's first Test in charge of the Brave Blossoms as they host the Pumas at the Prince Chichibu Memorial Rugby Ground and he says his side is well prepared to take on the South Americans.

"I think we have had a great week preparing the team … It all comes down to how the players perform but I am confident they will give their absolute best," Joseph told the Japan Times.

Meanwhile Japan full-back Kotaro Matsushima believes they need to have a tough defence against the Pumas in Tokyo.

"We can’t let them just run through our defense. The chop style and the double tackle will be key," Matsushima told Kyodo News.
