Scotland have received a boost after centre Huw Jones was declared fit after an injury and is available to take on Ireland this week.
The Stormers back, 23, who impressed for his country in November when he scored two tries against Australia, could feature at Murrayfield.
In other injury news, Scotland will afford fellow centre Duncan Taylor extra time to recover, according to assistant coach Jason O’Halloran.
“Huw is ready to play,” said O’Halloran.
“Huw has brought us pace, great footwork, he can grubber kick and he can distribute either way – he’s got one of the most rounded skill-sets I’ve seen.”
Scotland boast a wealth of talent to choose from in midfield, with Alex Dunbar, Mark Bennett and Matt Scott also options for Vern Cotter.
