The Dragons have moved to bring in centre Ben John on a month-long loan contract from Guinness PRO12 and fellow Welsh outfit the Ospreys.
John, 23, has played 33 times for the Liberty Stadium side, with his move prompted by the Dragons having an injury crisis in midfield.
“The logic behind this move is pretty straight forward,” said Ospreys rugby general manager Andrew Millward, in a press release on Friday.
“Ben needs game time at this level to keep him match sharp, and the Dragons need a centre to cover for injuries.”
He added: “It's an agreement that suits all parties, and is exactly how regional rugby should work.
“Ben will get some time on the field while out on loan and come back ready to challenge for the Ospreys jersey.”
