Cardiff flank Ellis Jenkins has warned that his side can ill-afford to underestimate Connacht in the PRO12 on Friday.

The reigning champions have struggled so far this season, winning just two games to date and the Blues have an impressive record at the Sportsground.

But Jenkins, who captains the Blues, is still very wary of the “very dangerous” Galway-based province, who will be determined to put their campaign back on track.

“Connacht have obviously not had the best start to the season after last year but they’re still a dangerous team,” Jenkins told the Cardiff Blues website.

“They are special team and play from everywhere. Their ambition is incredible. It paid off last year and they’re still a very dangerous team.

“They have struggled to hit their stride but we know how tough they can be and we won’t be underestimating them when we go out there.”
