Harlequins have announced that James Chisholm has re-signed with the club.

The news comes ahead of Harlequins’ 150th anniversary match against the Maori All Blacks, at The Stoop, on Wednesday.

Confirming the news, John Kingston, Harlequins Director of Rugby said: “James has put together a string of high quality performances this season, showing on the big stage the promise which all at Harlequins have known for several years.

“He is integral to the squad’s ambitions and it is with delight that we have agreed his long-term commitment to the club.”

In 2015, James helped the U20s to the Six Nations title, before being named as the World Rugby U20 Championship Player of the Year.

Most recently, the 21 year-old was named in the England Saxons squad that secured a 2-0 series win over South Africa in June.

Commenting on the news, Chisholm said: “John Kingston has a great vision for this club and it’s something that I want to be a part of over the coming years. I’m honoured to have extended my time with Harlequins, it is a great place to be and I’m enjoying turning up to work each day.”
