‘It’s time to reap rewards’ – Marais

Blue Bulls boss Nollis Marais says they are looking to build on their Super Rugby performance and win this year's Currie Cup.

Marais has implemented a more progressive style of rugby with a youthful group of players and says they need to start winning with the new strategy.

"It’s not so easy to head into a new direction with a relatively inexperienced team in Super Rugby. There will be pressure (in the Currie Cup), but not nearly as much as in Super Rugby," Marais told Netwerk24.

"We therefore have to progress and start reaping the rewards with the new game plan that we are pursuing. In fact, it’s required of all players."

The Pretoria franchises' first game will be against Western Province in Pretoria on August 5.
