Glasgow centre Mark Bennett says he has returned from Rio a better player.
Having made his return to the fifteens version of the game off the bench in Cardiff, the Sevens star says he has had no problems adapting back to the full version of the game.
"It’s a lot easier than going the other way that’s for sure," Bennett told the official Glasgow Warriors website.
"It’s been good coming back. Defensively I’m a lot more comfortable, there’s a lot less space out there in XV-a-side, you only usually have about five yards to look after rather than 25.
"It was our defence that won us that medal in Rio 100 per cent.
"Before the tournament we were scoring tries but conceding lots too. But when we got to Rio the oppositions were better and we couldn’t score as many tries but we defended well and managed to score enough."
Mark feels it is not just his defence that has improved and that the Olympic experience will benefit many aspects of his game.
He said: "I feel sharp; my skills feel sharp. That’s what Sevens is, a test of your skills at the top level, there is no hiding place.
"I feel like I’m the fittest I’ve ever been, I’m raring to go."
