It’s a massive game – Dacey

Cardiff Blues hooker Kristian Dacey is looking forward to Judgement Day III at the Millennium Stadium this Saturday when they take on the Ospreys.

Dacey, who has made 25 appearances this season and scored five tries, is hoping to be involved in the derby fixture at the national stadium in Cardiff.

A crowd closing in on 50,000 is set to roar on the four regions in the double header, with Cardiff Blues keen to claim a morale-boosting PRO12 triumph.

"It's a massive game," Dacey told the region's website on Thursday.

"We are disappointed by the season we have had but we have got to look forward to this derby and where better to play than the Millennium Stadium.

"It's going to be a big atmosphere and they have sold a lot of tickets so it's going to be great. It's not often you get to play in front of crowds like that so it will be some occasion.

"Ospreys have clearly done better than us in the league and the results for us haven't been good enough.

"We've got the talent here but haven't shown it enough this season. We've got three games left to get some pride back.

"We've got a lot of proud boys here. Some old heads and people moving on, so it's not fair for us to let them move on with the performances we've had.

"We've got three games left and they are all big. Two derbies and Zebre at home and we have got to perform."

On his potential head-to-head with Wales international hooker Baldwin, Dacey added: "I could be up against Scott (Baldwin) at some point, who I have played a couple of times the last few years and I know what a good player he is.

"He's cemented himself in the Welsh team and that is something I am trying to do. What better way to try and push my chances then by playing against him.

"Likewise he will want to show what he can do. I'm sure we are both looking forward to and it should be some occasion at the Millennium Stadium."
