Itoje will ‘relish’ England chance

Saracens young gun Maro Itoje will benefit hugely from being in England's World Cup camps according to Mark McCall.

Itoje is expected to be included on Wednesday in the 50-man training squad picked by Stuart Lancaster for the upcoming training camps in Surrey and Colorado.

The former England U20 captain has enjoyed an excellent season with Saracens, making his mark in the Premiership and Europe, and is being talked about as a potential member of the final 31-man squad for the World Cup.

Itoje's club boss McCall believes that while the young forward has a lot to learn, his potential is huge.

"It will do him all the good in the world," McCall told the BBC.

"Once the English coaches get him in camp they will realise just what kind of animal he is, and how bright he is.

"He's got a lot to learn and a long way to go of course and there's massive improvement in him.

"But he's good already, and he will relish that kind of environment and training with those kind of players."
